A traffic stop early Sunday morning by Bourbon Police Officer Matt Geiger lands a man in jail.
At 12:24 a.m. Officer Geiger stopped a van on Lincoln Highway west of Fir Road for driving left of center. The driver, Ronald Schlemmer was found to have been drinking. After failing a field sobriety test he tested .20% on the certified blood alcohol test.
Mr. Schlemmer was transported to the Marshall County Jail and processes for OWI and held on a $1,500 cash bond.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation. Every defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
