ArrestedTuesday, August 1st just after 11 p.m. Plymouth Police Officer Enyart observed a vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed westbound on West LaPorte Street.  The vehicle continues through the stop sign at the intersection of West Walnut and continue west bound at a high rate of speed. 

After initiating a traffic stop near the railroad depot in the 400 block of West LaPorte.  As a result of the traffic stop the driver, 20 year old Daniel Matthews of Elkhart was arrested for possession of a scheduled II narcotic without a prescription and reckless driving.  His cash bond was set at $1500. 

A passenger in the vehicle, 20year old Dino Michael Keith Pisello also of Elkhart was arrested for minor consumption. 

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
