Tuesday, August 1st just after 11 p.m. Plymouth Police Officer Enyart observed a vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed westbound on West LaPorte Street. The vehicle continues through the stop sign at the intersection of West Walnut and continue west bound at a high rate of speed.
After initiating a traffic stop near the railroad depot in the 400 block of West LaPorte. As a result of the traffic stop the driver, 20 year old Daniel Matthews of Elkhart was arrested for possession of a scheduled II narcotic without a prescription and reckless driving. His cash bond was set at $1500.
A passenger in the vehicle, 20year old Dino Michael Keith Pisello also of Elkhart was arrested for minor consumption.
