Crash_SR331_6BMarshall County Police investigated a single vehicle crash Thursday morning when a pick-up truck drove into the side of a home on State Road 331.

Officer Wozniak’s report says a 911 call at 9:03 sent emergency responders to the intersection of State Road 331 and 6B Road after 23 year old Brittany Beldon of Plymouth crashed into a home.

The 2000 Ford F150 struck the north side of the home where a bedroom was located.

The driver, Brittany Beldon complained of back pain.  A 2 year old child in the back seat of the truck was in a child safety seat and had visible seatbelt rash on the neck area. They were h btransported to the Community Hospital of Bremen for treatment of their injuries.

51 year old Dennis Overmyer was sleeping in the bedroom of the residence where the truck struck the house.  He suffered a large head injury from the debris falling when the truck hit the house.  He was transported by Bremen EMS to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
