The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is warning drivers of the complete closure of State Road 23, at the railroad tracks between U.S.6 and Tyler Road in Walkerton starting on Monday, August 17 through the middle of November. Crews will be replacing the bridge deck over Pine Creek.
State road detours must be along state-maintained roadways only. Drivers travelling north on SR 23 will be detoured west on U.S. 6, north on SR 104, east on SR 4 and back to State Road 23. Drivers travelling south on State Road 23 will be detoured west on SR 4, south on SR 104, east on U.S. 6 and back to SR 23.
