Miller’s Assisted Living is giving a shout out to all senior adults who “wish” they could play a musical instrument. Or to those who could kick themselves for giving up on their music lessons when they were a mere child. It’s not too late! You have an opportunity to try again!!
Local Suzuki Music instructor Abigail (Abby) Vogt is offering Music & Motion Classes which will be held at Miller’s Assisted Living located at 625 Oakhill Ave. in Plymouth.
Vogt is a full time dental hygienist. She has been playing the violin for over 20 years. With over 10 years experience teaching violin and music in various settings. She teaches for the Suzuki Music School of Granger, Inc. in both the Granger and Plymouth locations. She also teaches Suzuki Early Childhood Education. She is excited to offer this new class as a means of musical expression and motion to the senior population of Plymouth.
A free demo class will be offered on Friday, August 21st at 1:30 p.m. for those who would like to know more and get a “feel” for what will be involved in the class.
Weekly classes will then begin on Thursday, September 3rd at 1:30 p.m. The fee for the Music & Motion Class is $20.00 per month paid directly to Vogt. Participants will be introduced to music and motion through the use of classical pieces, hymns, songs, xylophone, glockenspiel, lollipop drums and much more.
To register for the Music & Motion class or for more information call 574-936-9801 and ask for Cindy Flagg.
