Incident_Lincoln Highway_1Wednesday evening about 5 police officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Plymouth Police Department and Bourbon Police were dispatched to the area east of Plymouth and US 31 for a woman who had walked into a cornfield.  The search area was from King Road west to US 31 and from Lincoln Highway on the south to 9A Road on the north.

Scanner traffic indicated that Plymouth Fire had been called and an airplane and drone were on the way to assist in the search.  

Incident_Lincoln Highway_planeAbout 5:40 the County 911 Center received a call of a female laying on the north side of Lincoln Highway east of the US 31 over-pass.  The caller said they thought the female had been struck by a vehicle.  Officers arrived on the scene within minutes and found a 26 year old female lying near the roadway with something around her neck. The female was transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth by Plymouth paramedics.        

An investigation at the scene showed that the female was not struck by a vehicle but had passed out.  She transported to the Plymouth hospital for medical treatment.
