Floor Store and More116 North Michigan Street, The Floor Store and More will begin a revitalization project this weekend with approval of the Plymouth Common Council for a Commercial Revitalization Program Grant.

Monday evening Rocky Talcott, building and business owner told members of the Council it’s been 21 years since the building was last painted.  He also plans to place a new awing on the building in phase one of the project.

Low bid on the painting was $3,622 and the awning was $4,184.37 for a total of $7,806.37.

The Commercial Revitalization Program offers up to 20% with a maximum amount of $25,000 for a qualifying project that must be approved by the City Council.   The council approved a rebate grant of $1,561.27 for Talcott’s project.

Rocky also plans to put a new roof on his building and gutters but has not yet received the second bid for that project.  He will return to the council with his second grant request when he has the required paperwork in place.
