StarkeCounty_MugShot_Shawn HeckOn Friday afternoon at 12:13 the Starke County Sheriff’s Office received a call stating that a female was being held against her will in a residence located in Ober, which is located in Washington Township.

Arriving at the residence, Chief Deputy Kenny Pfost located a female on the front porch and the male suspect inside the residence.

The female victim stated that the male suspect, 28 year old Shawn Heck had battered her the previous night and Chief Deputy Pfost observed bruising on her body, the victim said Heck threatened her with a baseball bat and threatened to burn her parents house if she attempted to leave the residence.

Shawn Heck of Ober was arrested and transported to the Starke County Jail without incident and charged with Criminal Confinement a Level 6 Felony, Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon a Level 5 Felony and Domestic Battery a Class A Misdemeanor.
