arrestsOn Wednesday, March 18th at 4:11 P.M. Plymouth Police Officer Joe Deisch responded to 1015 Sycamore Street in reference to a reckless driving complaint.  At the conclusion of the investigation 28 year old Jack W. Clemons of Plymouth was taken into custody for operator never licensed.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,505 bond.

A short time later Wednesday at 5:00 P.M. Officer Matthew Emenhiser responded to Dairy Queen for a reported fight in progress. Officers arrived and found that a fight had broke out during a custody exchange between 45 year old David C. Rupel of Fishers and 36 year old Jeremy J. Daley of Plymouth. Both Rupel and Daley suffered bodily injury in the incident. Mr. Rupel was taken into custody for battery with bodily injury and disorderly conduct and transported to the County Jail. He was released later that night after posting a $755 cash bond and was issued a Marshall Superior Court II date of April 21st.

Later that night at 9:55 P.M. Officer Emenhiser conducted a traffic stop on 19 year old Steven Rice of North Liberty at Michigan Street and Plymouth-Goshen Trail. During the traffic stop Mr. Rice was found to be operating while intoxicated on a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Rice was transported to the Jail and held on a $1,505 bond.

At 11:40 P.M. Wednesday, Officer Ben McIntyre initiated a traffic stop at Michigan and Harrison Street for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop Marshall County K-9 Arras assisted and made a positive hit on the vehicle for narcotics. A search of the vehicle produced a syringe and a schedule 5 controlled substance. 26 year old William Parks of North Liberty was taken into custody for possession of paraphernalia and controlled substance and was transported to the County Jail and held on a $1,505 bond.

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made
