Plymouth High School would like to take time and congratulate Stephanie Boyle, a PHS senior who holds the all time PHS Scholastic’s Reading Counts Red Dot RECORD!
She has a little over 5224 points in the bulk of her high school career.
The Scholastic’s Reading Counts Red Dot Program at PHS requires students while enrolled in any English class to read two books per class.
After a student completes a book they take a ten questions Red Dot test based on that book.
Students throughout their high school career can take as many Red Dot tests as they would like.
Each book awards a certain amount of points based on the percentage on the test. Some books are even 32 points!
Stephanie might actually receive another award before she graduates next week! The school is checking with Scholastic Reading Club to see if perhaps Stephanie holds the national record!
Stephanie graduates at the end of this trimester (March 4th) and she has already started her college career at Ancilla College!
