RicciardiOn Saturday, January 24th the annual Culver-Union Township Emergency Ambulance Service held their Christmas Dinner at the Culver VFW.

During the evening Sally Ricciardi was surprised when she was honored for her 35 years of service to the department.

Steve Gressmire, District Representative from the Indiana Emergency Medical Service Commission presented her with a plaque which awarded her the title of Basic Advanced EMT Emeritus.

Ruth Allan, Culver EMS Director also presented Ricciardi with a plaque which said, “With appreciation for 35 years of dedicated service and commitment to excellence for the betterment of the Culver-Union Township Ambulance Service 1979-2014.

Ricciardi has served the Culver-Union Township Ambulance Service as an EMT, Basic-Advanced EMT and Director of EMS as well as a member of the Culver Town Council.

Sally resigned from the EMS service to seek re-election to the Culver Town Council.  A couple of years ago Indiana law was changed and no longer allows a public official to hold a second public service position where it would be considered holding two lucrative offices or dual office holding.
