Sheriff's Star BadgeThe October jail report shows 150 people booked into the Marshal County Jail. The top ten offenses were, number 10 Battery, number 9 Domestic Battery, number 8 Theft, number 7 Operator Never Licensed and number 6 Driving While Suspended. The top 5 reasons people were booked into the jail were, number 5 Dealing Meth or Cocaine, number 4 Probation Violation, number 3 Marijuana, number 2 Operating While Intoxicated and the number one reason, Failure to Appear.

Bookings into the County Jail were done by all departments except LaPaz. Argos booked in 2 while Bourbon had 3 and Bremen had 11. Culver police booked 3 in the jail last month and ISP had 5. Officers from the Plymouth Police Department arrested a total of 36 and officers from the Sheriff’s Department booked 72.

County officers investigated 78 accidents, 65 were property damage, 12 involved personal injuries and there was one fatality.

County officers also took 89 case reports in October.
