On Wednesday, October 22nd at approximately 8:24 p.m. Patrolman Bryant with the Marshall County Police conducted a traffic stop on a Buick passenger car for an equipment violation near the intersection of U.S. 30 and Redwood Road.
During the course of the traffic stop Marijuana was located on the passenger Breann Mayea and inside the vehicle. Ms. Mayea and the driver Bryan Joseph were arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail for Possession of Marijuana.
Ms. Mayea later bonded out for $500.00 cash. Mr. Joseph is currently still lodged with a $1000.00 cash bond. Officer Bryant was assisted at the scene by Deputy McFarland and Plymouth Officer Shanna Gilmer.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
