Marshall County Police Officer Jonathan Bryant was on routine traffic patrol and stopped a vehicle Friday evening about 7:15 on Lincoln Highway near Tulip Road. The stop was for an equipment violation. During the course of the stop it was discovered the driver, 23 year old Preston Smith of Plymouth was operating the vehicle without ever receiving a license. He also had an active warrant for his arrest out of Saint Joseph County for sexual misconduct.
He was booked into the County Jail on a $505 cash bond and held for the Saint Joe County warrant.
