For the past couple of summers, Plymouth LP Gas has offered a discount of $15 to fill a 20 pound propane tanks during the grilling season on Fridays. This year they asked their customers to make a donation to Ounce of Prevention and they would fill that tank for $10 and match the donation to OOP.
On Wednesday, during Plymouth LP Gas’s customer appreciation day Debbie Buchtel and her father, Jack Holm presented a check for $3,200 to Jessica Oliver and Jenifer Houin from Ounce of Prevention. Debbie said, “We had an overwhelming response this year.”
Plymouth LP Gas has gone all-out with being pink….they have a huge pink LP gas tank and last year painted one of their delivery trucks pink too. This year their scarecrow, Penelope Propane joined the team… Sitting right next to the building with her gas grill and pink pumpkins Penelope Propane sell propane and propane products at Plymouth LP Gas.
Buchtel said, Our business got involved after my mother, Louise Holm passed away 4 years ago from lung cancer. The employees started it with the large pink tank and it grew from there.”
Plymouth LP Gas customers were treated to lunch, lots of goodies and the opportunity to sign the Plymouth Fire Department’s Pink Fire Truck during the customer appreciation event on Wednesday.
