Ancilla_Dr.BowenOn September 29th, Ancilla College celebrated two important individuals in the history of the college by naming two classrooms in their memory.

Friends, family, and Ancilla board members were there to celebrate the dedication of each room. Dr. Ken Zirkle, president of Ancilla College opened the ceremony with welcoming remarks followed by remarks from Charles Weaver, former Ancilla College trustee, Chuck Hardesty, nephew of Jim Hardesty, Rose Woodke, former pastor of Jim Hardesty, and Todd Zeltwanger, vice president of development at Ancilla College. Sr. Jolise May, PHJC coordinator of mission integration closed the ceremony with a responsorial prayer.

Ancilla_JIm Hardesty“We thank God for how He used these two men to help change the lives of hundreds of area students,” said Zeltwanger. “Their legacy of service and generosity will be felt for years to come.”

Plaques hang outside of each room reflecting the legacy that each man left behind.
