On Monday, September 15th at approximately 7:00 P.M. while on routine patrol, Marshall County Sheriff’s Officer, Les McFarland located a vehicle that had gone off the roadway and got stuck in the mud.

MugShot_Jack Clemons (2)Making contact with the driver, 27 year old Jack William Clemons of Plymouth it was discovered that he was driving on a suspended Indiana I.D. card.

MugShot_Gilberto CanulThe passenger in the vehicle gave Officer McFarland a false name. He was eventually identified as 24 year old Gilberto Canul of Plymouth.

Mr. Canul was arrested for false informing and was held on a $755 bond. Jack William Clemons was arrested for driving while suspended with a prior charge of the same offense and was held on a $755 bond.
Both subjects were lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
