Senator Head_Intern2014Colleges continue to stress the importance of internships, and they are becoming more of a requirement to get a job after graduation.
The Indiana Senate Republican Caucus is offering paid internship opportunities during the 2015 legislative session to college students and recent graduates, as well as those in graduate and law school.

Senator Randy Head said, “Interns have the opportunity to work directly with state legislators and staff at the Indiana Statehouse, located in downtown Indianapolis. It is a great way to gain work experience while actively participating in the legislative process.”
According to Forbes, a “sure-fire way” students can increase their chances of finding full-time work in today’s tough job market is by doing a paid internship.

Internships at the Senate are available in several fields of study including legislative, information technology, legal, communications, policy and visual communications. Benefits include a $700 biweekly stipend, scholarship opportunities, networking and earned academic credits.
