Plymouth History Walk 2014The Beta Delta Chapter of Tri Kappa Sorority presents its 6th semi-annual Plymouth History Walk this Sunday near the War Memorial in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Wendy Holloway, Chairman for this year’s event announced the local folks who will come back to life in the cemetery between the hours of 4 and 6 p.m. Samuel Boys portrayed by his grandson Sam Boys, Samuel Scholsser portrayed by Ken Houin, Christopher Bollman played by Bob Pickell, Hannah Burden played by Cindy Flag and Laura Thornburg portrayed by Mandy Metsker. On the walk Sunday local thespians will dress in period costumes and tell their story from research completed by members of Tri Kappa with great assistance of the Marshall County Museum.

“This is a great way to enjoy an autumn walk and to also learn some of the history of Plymouth that you may not have known before,” explained Holloway.

Plymouth History Walk 2014 quiltThe History Walk is free and golf carts are available for assisted tours. The last tour is at 5:20 p.m. A free-will donation is accepted.
Tickets are also being sold for a chance to win a beautiful patriotic handmade quilt by Wendy Holloway. The patriotic patter goes along with this year’s theme of the War Memorial. The quilt is on display at the Marshall County Historical Museum in downtown Plymouth. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Proceeds from the History Walk and the quilt raffle will benefit the Marshall County Historical Museum. Handicap tours of the History Walk are available and a raindate of September 16th has been set
