MugShot_Magellan MillerOn Thursday, August 14, at 1:07 a.m. an officer with the Marshall County Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on US 31 near the intersection of 11th Road. The traffic stop was for a moving violation. During the course of the investigation it was determined that the driver, 45 year old Magellan A. Miller of Peru, had an active warrant through Cass County.

Marshall County Police Department Canine Arras was walked around the vehicle and indicated the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle located what is believed to be methamphetamine as well as marijuana. Magellan Miller was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana. A hold was also placed for Cass County. The subjects bond was set at $3,000 cash and a court date of September 16, 2014 was set for Superior Court #2.
