MCCO_HolidayWhile summer is still upon us and many are enjoying outdoor activities, members of the Marshall County Church Orchestra and LifePlex Dance Academy are planning ahead to the month of November. The MCCO held auditions Saturday morning for their annual Concert and Dessert which will be held at Christos’ Banquet Center on Thursday and Friday, November 13th and 14th.
MCCO Director Don Harness is pleased to announce the theme for the 2014 Concert and Dessert which is “Holiday Showcase”. The auditions held were for those wishing to perform solos and ensembles which will be interspersed between selections performed by the orchestra as a whole. As of audition time “Holiday Showcase” will feature a flute choir, a clarinet quintet, a cornet solo, a vocal quartet, a clarinet/trumpet duet, a hammered dulcimer ensemble, and several dance routines.
Ticket information for the Concert and Dessert will be released to the press after the MCCO completes several appearances including The Farmer’s Market on Saturday, August 23rd, the Blueberry Festival on Friday, August 29th and Miller’s Senior Living Community on Sunday, September 7th.
