Sheriff's Star BadgeOperating while intoxicated continues to be at the top of the list for reasons while individuals are booked into the Marshall County Jail.
Sheriff Tom Chamberlin released the June Top Ten list of booking offenses. Operating While Intoxicated was number one followed by Failure to Appear and then Marijuana. The number four reason was for Probation Violations followed by Operators Never Licensed and Driving While Suspended. Rounding out the top ten list was Theft at number seven, Illegal Consumption, Domestic Battery and Battery.
There were 139 individuals booked into the jail in June 111 males and 28 females. Officers with the Marshall County Police Department made the most arrests with 52 males and 18 females.
County officer also investigated 55 accidents, 6 involved personal injury and 49 were property damage. Officers to 79 case reports and issued 113 citations. The department received 563 civil process papers and served 680.
