The Marshall County Council will meet this morning at 9 a.m. in the meeting room of the County Building.  Agenda for the meeting includes the request of an additional appropriation of $1,300 by Superior Court II Judge Robert Bowen.  Bowen is seeking the funds for training a new court administrator.  Both the Recorder and Clerk will ask members of the County Council for personnel replacements. 

Along with transfers the Sheriff will seek an additional appropriation of $50,000 for prisoner care from the certified shares budget and the Marshall County Museum is asking for $2,121 for an archive manager. 

The County Highway Department will be seeking an additional next month for the purchase of equipment and the Health Department will be looking more money in the unsafe building line item.

The Personnel Committee has recommendations to present to the County Council and several departments are seeking more than a $10,000 increase to their budgets for 2015.  Each will appear before the council to explain their request.  Those looking for increases include Ralph Booker from the Plan Commission, Linda Rippy for the Museum, Larry Fisher in the Surveyor’s Office, Jason Peters for the County Highway and Sheriff Tom Chamberlin.

The County Council meeting begins at 9 a.m. and is open to the public although comments are limited to the beginning of the meeting.
