Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin released the May Jail Activity Report. 

Last month there were a total of 147 jail bookings.  The sheriff’s department has the most at 61 with the Plymouth Police Department next with 30.  Bremen Police lodged 14 in the jail last month while Indiana State Police Troopers arrested 13.  Culver Police booked 4 into the jail and Bourbon Police had 3 with 1 for Argos and none from LaPaz. 

The top 10 reasons citizens were placed in the County Jail were:

1.    Operating While Intoxicated

2.    Failure to Appear

3.    Marijuana

4.    Dealing Cocaine/Meth

5.    Probation Violation

6.    Theft

7.    Holds for Other Agencies

8.    Opearator never licensed

9.    Driving While Suspended and

10.                       Habitual Traffic Violator.

County Police Officers completed 65 accident reports, 21 involved personal injury, 43 were property damage and there was 1 fatality. 

County Officers did 99 case reports in May and issued 96 citations.  There were 752 civil process papers received and 535 were served.
