Bart Trester, Project Supervisor for the 7th Road project from USI updated the Marshall County Commissioners on the project during their meeting Monday.

Trester said 400 feet of storm sewer has been installed along with a box culvert.  He also noted that the peat has been removed on the west end of the project.  There was much more unsuitable soil than anticipated.  The highly organic soil was hauled to a pit on King Road and borrow is being hauled back to fill in.

Trester presented change order number two from prime contractor Phend and Brown for unsuitable soils.  Cost is estimated to be between $450,000 and $500,000.
