Plymouth High School Principal Jim Condon presented awards to the Top 5% of the 2014 graduating class during senior awards. Students receiving the framed awards were: Kyle Barry, Scott Carmichael, Riley Cartwright, Danielle Erickson, Kristen Gergely, Rachel Hartman, Nathan Mahan, Tucker Pletcher, Logan Richards, Ellen Smith, John Stillson, Travis Tredway and Nolan Wright.
During the award ceremony Major John Bryant with the United States Air Force presented Luke Schumacher with an appointment to the Air Force Academy while Shelby Haisley was presented with the United States Navy GI Bill from Naval Officer Lukasik.
Judge Dean Colvin had the privilege of presenting the first Plymouth High School Alumni Association Scholarships. Kristen Gergely and Ben Piazza each received a $300 award.
Kelly Manning from Ancilla College presented cheerleading scholarships to Markee Farler and Haley Stein and a $13,000 Scholarship to Kennedy Jones.
Five PHS graduating seniors received scholarship from Manchester College in various amounts including $32,000 for Jacob Frantz, $42,000 for Shelby Harrell, $56,000 Courtney Hersick, $54,000 for Dylan Holiday and Sommer McClellan will receive $56,000.
More than $2 million in scholarship and awards were presented to PHS graduating seniors. WTCA will continue to release scholarship information this week.
