05/29/14  On Saturday, May 24th at 11:26 P.M. Plymouth Police Officer Ben McIntyre initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was operating with no headlights at Jefferson and Center Streets on 23 year old Bayron A. Lopez of Plymouth. During the investigation it was found that Mr. Lopez didn’t hold a valid driver’s license. He was taken into custody and was transported to the Marshall County Jail. During the booking process a small baggy containing a white powdery substance was located that later tested positive for cocaine. Mr. Lopez was charged with possession of cocaine and operator never licensed and held on a $1,505 bond.

On Sunday, May 25th at 5:34 A.M. Officer Ryan Richey was patrolling in the area of US 30.  Just east of Pioneer Drive he noticed a male subject in dark clothing standing in the middle of US 30 waving his arms. Officer Richey made contact with the subject identified as 20 year old Brandon L. Hoggatt of Mishawaka.  Hoggatt was arrested for minor consuming, public intoxication and possession of a false ID.   He was lodged in the Marshall County Jail and held on a $255 bond. Hoggatt was released that afternoon after posting bond and received a June 17th Superior Court II date for his initial hearing.

Later Sunday evening at 6:05 P.M. Officer Jeremy Enyart was dispatched to the 400 block of Bayless Street for a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident.   The victim was following the suspect’s vehicle and Officer Enyart observed the vehicle traveling west on Webster Avenue just east of Minor Street. A traffic stop was initiated at Michigan Street and Webster Avenue and the driver, 60 year old Marina D. Studt of Plymouth was determined to be intoxicated. Studt was taken into custody for operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15% or more and endangering another person. She was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,500 bond.
