05/08/14 Operating While Intoxicated was the number one reason people were lodged in the Marshall County Jail in April.  Marshall County , Tom Chamberlin released his monthly report of the Top Ten Offenses.  Continuing down the list you’ll find Failure to Appear, Marijuana, Driving While Suspended, Theft and Operator Never Licensed.  Other reasons included Public Intoxication, Holds for other Counties, Possession of Controlled Substance and Probation Violation.

There were a total of 168 jail bookings in April with 111 being males and 38 females.  Officers with the Sheriff Department arrested the most with 68 and Plymouth Police arrested 51.

County police officers responded to 35 traffic accidents last month.  27 of those accidents were property damage and 8 involved personal injuries.  Officers took 95 case reports, wrote 81 citations, served 525 civil process papers and received 600 civil papers.
