04/17/14 Saturday night just before midnight, Officer Wally Derifield with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Fifth and Corbin Streets. 29 year old Derek Jernstrom of Adams Street was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Driving Under the Influence. He was released just after 10 a.m. on Sunday after paying his $1,505 cash bond. Mr. Jernstrom will appear in Superior Court II on April 22nd.
Tuesday morning about 7:30 Officer John Weir and Detective Jim Cox were at the Economy Inn working on an investigation and located 37 year old Sulton Williams of South Bend hiding in a closet. After a warrant check was done, it was found that he had two active warrants out of St. Joseph County. He was taken into custody and held with no bond for another jurisdiction.
