04/10/14  On Monday, April 7th at 9:48 A.M. Plymouth Police Officer Ray West conducted a license plate check while on routine patrol.   That check revealed the registered owner of the vehicle as having been adjudged to be a Habitual Traffic Violator for Life.  Officer West initiated a traffic stop and confirmed the driver’s identity as 32 year old Paul B. Nine of Warsaw. Mr. Nine was taken into custody for charges of driving after having been judged as being a Habitual Traffic Violator.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held without bond.

Later Monday afternoon at 1:51 P.M. Plymouth Officer John Weir initiated a traffic stop at Michigan and Jackson Streets on a Ford Escort. During the course of the investigation it was found that 28 year old Kenneth Daren of Plymouth was Driving While Suspended with a Prior charge of the same offense.  Kenneth Daren was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $755 bond.  He was released the next day after posting bond and received a Superior Court II date of May 6th to appear for his initial hearing.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
