03/18/14  On Tuesday, March 11th at 2:10 P.M. Plymouth Police Officer Ray West was investigating a incident on Coventry Court when he located and arrested 53 year old Thomas Wilson of Plymouth.  Mr. Wilson had an active warrant out of Dearborn County, Indiana for Forgery and Counterfeiting as a class C felony.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held for Dearborn County.

On Friday, March 14th at 12:38 P.M. Officer Derek Workman conducted a traffic stop on North Michigan Road north of 7B Road.   The occupants of the vehicle were 18 year old Nicole R. Berg and 20 year old Sierra Parsons of Plymouth. During the traffic stop Officer John Weir and his K-9 partner Jax respond to the scene. Jax indicated the presence of narcotics and both females were found to be in possession of synthetic drugs.  They were transported to the County Jail where Berg was booked on a $3,005 bond and released the next day after posting bond. She was given a Superior Court II date to appear April 29th.  Sierra Parsons was booked in on a $1,505 cash bond and released at 4:40 P.M. after posting bond. She will appear in Superior court II on April 29th.

Later Friday afternoon at 3:40 P.M. Officer Workman conducted a traffic stop at Michigan Street and Hoham Drive.   22 year old Carlos Eloy Cotto Madera of South Bend was arrested for Driving While Suspended with a prior.  Madera was transported to the jail and held on a $755 bond.  He was released at 9:15 P.M. that night and received a Superior court 11 date to appear April 29th.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
