01/13/14 Members of the Marshall County Council will meet for the first meeting of 2014 Monday morning at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.
As the first meeting is the agenda includes reorganization including the election of Council President and Vice President. They will also appoint a representative to the MACOG board and consider changes to the liaison assignments.
Clyde Avery, the County EMA Director will present the sub-grant agreement and Mary Jane Walsworth head of the Probation Department will seek a probationary pay waiver for an employee.
Other agenda items include an additional appropriation for funding the Metronet. The recommendation from County Commissioner Kevin Overmyer was $150,000 from the Cum Cap Development Fund and $350,000 from the Rainy Day Fund.
County Auditor Penny Lukenbill will present transfer request for the 2013 and 2014 budgets. She will also present the December 17 minutes for approval and a salary amendment for the Plan Commission Administrative Assistant.
Council members are also expected to appoint a member to the Koontz Lake Regional Sewer District Board.
County Council meeting are open to the public but comments are limited to the first agenda item.
