March 20, 2013

03/21/13 On Saturday, March 16th, the Plymouth Winter Drumline competed in the Indiana Percussion Association’s state prelims. This event brought over 100 performing groups from around the state together for a chance at the annual IPA State Finals.
Plymouth began last season as a Class PSAA ensemble and due to high scores, was promoted to a Class PSA ensemble. The competition is much stronger in Class PSA as there are thirty schools competing at this level. Plymouth has been placed in the top 5 every weekend of this season and was able to perform 26th out of 28 groups attending the prelims. State prelims are in ranking order and Plymouth’s great showing this season allowed them to go at the end of the competition day.
Plymouth was announced as a state finalist and will continue on to the IPA State Finals event at Ben Davis on Saturday, March 23rd.
