12/16/13 The Marshall County Drainage Board will meet at 8:30 in the second floor meeting room of the County Building. 

Agenda includes opening maintenance bids for the Hershberger Ditch, Alderfer Ditch, Gail-Unsicker Ditch and Redinger Ditch. 

At 8:30 the Logan Drain project will be discussed with INDOT.  The Drainage Board is expected to sign a memorandum of Understanding with INDOT.

A public hearing will be conducted at 8:40 on the Elmer Fletcher maintenance project. 

Under the heading of miscellaneous business in the Yellow River Bank Project at LaPorte Street specifically pertaining to the Tony Ross property on the south east side of the Walking Bridge, 7th Road mitigation site on the Zimmer Ditch, and the East Bunch Drain in Saint Joseph and Marshall Counties.  They will also consider the 2014 Drainage Board meeting schedule, the 2014 citizen members to the Drainage Board, and signing of maintenance contracts for the Suseland Drain and Harris Arm of the Milner Seltenright Ditch. 

The County Commissioner’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30.  County Recorder Marlene Mahler will seek approval to purchase a new scanner the Plan Director Ralph Booker will discuss the creation of a County Transportation Committee. 

A Public Hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m.  The Gerard property owners are seeking a rezoning of 4367 West Lake Shore Drive in Bremen.  The request is to change from L1 to A3. 

The Commissioners will hear Amy Roberts from the County Humane Society present some issues and regular reports for the County Highway, County Attorney, Auditor and Commissioners.
