11/04/13 The Marshall County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the victim in Friday morning accident.
29 year old Christopher Lowder of rural Knox was killed instantly Friday morning about 2:50 when he wandered into the west bound lane of US 30 near Union Road. He was struck by a westbound semi driven by an Ohio man.
Cleavenger said, “It was dark and misty at the time of the accident and Lowder was wearing dark clothing.
Deputy Coroner Bridget Hite assisted with the investigation and said toxicology tests for Lowder are being conducted but results won’t be available until early next week.
Cleavenger said the accident is still under investigation. The coroner’s office was assisted at the scene by the Marshall County Police Department, and the Indiana State Police.
