10/07/13  The number one reason for people being lodged in the Marshall County Jail during September was Operating While Intoxicated.   Failure to Appear was the number two reason with Theft coming in third.   Probation Violations were fourth and Operator Never Licensed rounded out the top five.  The remaining reasons people were booked in to the jail included: number six – Marijuana, seventh – Illegal Consumption, eighth – Public Intoxication, ninth – Cocaine or Meth and tenth was Driving While Suspended.   

There were 158 individuals booked into the Marshall County Jail in September.  Argos officers arrested 3 male while Bourbon police arrested 6 males and 1 female. Bremen Police arrested 7 males and 3 females with Culver officers arresting 4 males.   Indiana State Police Troopers arrested 7 males and 5 females with Plymouth officers booking in 35 males and 17 females. Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrested 54 males and 17 females. 

County police officers investigated 35 traffic accidents in September, 32 were property damage and 7 involved personal injury.  Officers took 83 case reports last month and wrote 139 citations.  598 civil process papers were received and 439 were served.
