09/11/13 National Assisted Living Week got underway on Sunday, September 8th as Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter arrived at Miller’s Senior Living Community with the NALW proclamation in hand.  Miller’s Marketing Director Anna Corbett welcomed Mayor Senter to the podium where he proceeded to give a short State of the City address and then read the proclamation which stated : “National Assisted Living Week provides a unique opportunity for residents, families, staff, volunteers and the surrounding community to come together to give residents a variety of exciting events and activities that show them how much they are cared about and loved. “

Following the proclamation, the Marshall County Church Orchestra opened the week of festivities with a rousing concert of classical and patriotic music.  MCCO member and solo entertainer Quentin Flagg closed out the evening with an energetic, crowd-pleasing concert of oldies rock and roll which included hits from the likes of Elvis, Buddy Holly, Bobby Darrin, Jerry Lee Leis and more.

The staff at Miller’s has a week of action and fun planned for the entire community.  For more information about the public events call 574-936-9801 and ask for Anna Corbett.
