09/09/13 The number one reason for people being lodged in the Marshall County Jail during August was for Failure to Appear.   Theft was the number two reason with Operating While Intoxicated coming in third.   Probation Violations were fourth and Marijuana rounded out the top five.  The remaining reasons included number six – Driving While Suspended, seven – Operator Never Licensed, eighth – Domestic Battery, nine – Illegal Consumption of Alcohol and ten Civil Issues.   

There were 158 individuals booked into the Marshall County Jail in August.  Argos officers arrested 1 male while Bourbon police arrested 5 males and 2 females. Bremen Police arrested 9 males and Culver officers arrested 2 males and 1 female.   Indiana State Police Troopers arrested 4 males with Plymouth officers booking in 52 males and 19 females. Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrested 53 males and 18 females. 

County police officers investigated 41 traffic accidents, 29 property damage and 12 involved personal injury.  Officers took 90 case reports and wrote 150 citations.  531 civil process papers were received and 736 were served.
