08/30/13 Miller’s Senior Living Community of Plymouth joined with Miller’s Merry Manor of Walkerton in hosting a Senior Picnic and Concert held in the new EMS building in Walkerton.  Plymouth Marketing Director Anna Corbett and Walkerton’s Admissions Director Sharon McGee planned the event which was open to seniors in the Walkerton area and surrounding areas.

Those in attendance were treated to a delicious picnic meal of baked chicken, pork and beans, veggies and dip, potato chips and a fresh fruit salad.  Beverages were also provided.  Walkerton EMT’s were on hand to help serve the guests and to provide tours of the beautiful new EMs building.  Fire Chief Jeff Baker announced the EMS had ICE (In Case of Emergency) kits they would gladly hand out to any person who needed them.

Following the lunch and Chief Baker’s presentation Marshall County’s own Quentin Flagg entertained the crowd with his unique brand of oldies vocals and dance.  Flagg wowed the crowd with hits from such greats including; Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Bobby Darrin, Dean Martin, Hank Williams and more.  Between songs he amused the groups with stories of his many travels across the United States while performing.  Flagg will appear at Miller’s Senior Living Community in Plymouth during National Assisted Living Week at the annual Classic Car Cruise-In on Saturday, September 14 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  The Cruise-In is free and open to the public.  For more information about National Assisted Living Week events call 574-936-9801 and ask for Anna Corbett.  For info regarding Walkerton Miller’s Merry Manor call 574-586-3133 and ask for Sharon McGee.
