08/20/13 On Friday, August 16th at 12:39 in the afternoon Officer John Weir with the Plymouth Police Department attempted to stop 44 year old Anthony M. Long on his bicycle in the Economy Inn parking lot. 

Mr. Long fled across Michigan Street and rode his bike behind the Red Rock Inn.  During the pursuit Officer Weir observed Mr. Long discarded four coffee filters with methamphetamine inside them as he was trying to get away. 

City Detective Leo Mangus and Indiana State Trooper Jason Faulstich apprehended Anthony Long and located hypodermic needles during a search of his person.  A search of Long’s motel room at the Red Rock Inn revealed more methamphetamine and several meth paraphernalia items. 

During the search of the motel room a two month old infant and a two year old were residing in the room.  The children were place in the care of the Division of Child Services. 

Anthony Long was transported to the Marshall County Jail for Resisting Law Enforcement, Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful use of Syringe and Possession of Paraphernalia and held on a $5,005 cash bond.
