07/26/13 The City of Plymouth will continue with the unidirectional flushing of water mains by flushing the hydrants on Friday. City employees will start on South Michigan Street at Penguin Point and head north on Michigan Street to Novelty Street. After that they will go back and get the eastside neighborhoods off North Michigan including: East LaPorte from Michigan Street to the Yellow River, River Street, Garro Street, East Washington Street, East Adams, East Monroe, East Madison, East Harrison, Shalley, Elliott, Baker Street, Franklin Street, Klinger, Park Street, Fairbanks, Magnetic Parkway, Bailey, Bellmont, Grand and East Jackson.
Eric Keilman, Distribution System Forman for the City Water Department said on Thursday, “If we don’t finish flushing these mains on Friday, we will pick up where we left off on Monday.”
If you experience any brown water you are asked to run the cold water for 15 to 20 minutes before call the Plymouth Water Department.
