06/11/13 On May 21st of this year the Plymouth Police Department received a report from the Department of Child Services regarding a seven year old child that had received burns at a residence in the 400 block Alexander Street in Plymouth.

Detective Leo Mangus with the Plymouth Police Department said that the child had been living at the residence with her grandmother, Margo Wallace, at the time of the injury.

Further investigation revealed that the burns had taken place in the bathtub at Margo Wallace’s residence on March 30, 2013. The child had suffered second degree burns on her feet and ankles.

After additional information was received for the investigation, Margo Wallace was charged with Neglect of a Dependant as a class C felony and Battery as a class D felony. An arrest warrant was then issued for her with a cash bond of $3,000.

Forty-seven year old Margo Wallace was arrested on Friday, June 7th at 8:50 a.m.   She was able to bond out at 6:10 p.m. the same day.  Her initial court date is June 18th in Marshall Superior Court I at 8:30 a.m.
