05/31/13 Stop in at the Plymouth Farmers’ Market (PFM) before heading over to the Yellow River Festival this Saturday.

There are no special activities or musical entertainment planned so as not to interfere with the Festival. There will be some free ‘tasting’ with John Childs offering free rhubarb water and Steve Neff giving samples of honey lemonade. A wide variety of annuals and perennials as well as your favorite vegetable plants are ready for picking and planting. Donate in Mayor Mark’s blood drive from 8 a.m. to noon. An appointment can be made at www.givebloodnow.com using the Sponsor Code ‘Plymouth’ or call the Mayor’s office at 936-6717. There are only a few spots left!

Not-for-Profit fundraisers include one for Courtney DeMont selling ribbon fries; a bake sale by the Marshall County Church Orchestra; and Triton Summer League selling chocolate candy bars.

The PFM is held Saturdays from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. in River Park Square at Garro and River Streets, east of Michigan. The last day for the Market is Oct. 12, the second Saturday of the month. The Market is urging everyone to go ‘green’ so please bring your shopping bag!

New vendors are always welcome. Applications for vendors and not-for-profits are available on the website at www.plymouthfarmersmarket.com or by contacting Tom Keb, Market Manager, at (574) 217-5776. Booth space for vendors remains at $10 per week per booth. Not-for-profit booths are free but limited to once a month. Like us on Facebook at plymouthfarmersmarketinc.
