05/30/2013  This Saturday, June 1st, at 10 a. m. the Plymouth High School Band is hosting a new event that they hope to make an annual run!   They are hosting a 5-K run called the “Zombie Chase 5k!”

This event will be a 5k run starting at the PHS stadium complex and running through the local city park trails.   The twist to this run is that there will be several “Zombie Zones” with costumed zombies that will attempt to steal “Life Flags” from your belt!  Each runner will have a rope-style belt with 5 paper flags attached.   Runners must attempt to complete the 5k (run or walk) with at least 1 Life Flag attached!

All runners are awarded medals, but the goal is to be a “SURVIVOR” with at least 1 Life Flag left attached to your belt when you complete the race.   The zombies goal is to attack and steal your flags while you complete the course!

Band Director, Bryan Ames said, “We have had a huge support with our website and Facebook pages for the race.   If you would like to participate, the entry form is here and the liability form is here.”   He encourages everyone interested to please, share with anyone else who might be interested in a really fun 5K run.   Entries received before the race will be $35.  On site registration Saturday from 9:30 till 10 is $40.

The website for the race is:  www.zombiechase5k.weebly.com or you can also visit the website through the band website at:  www.prideofplymouth.com.
