04/04/13 The Marshall County Museum is happy to announce that they will now be open on SUNDAY afternoons from 1 – 4PM starting this Sunday, April 7th!  They are hoping to make it more convenient for people to visit on weekends after church.  It’s great fun, and FREE family entertainment!   

Visitors can experience the ever-changing first floor exhibits.  Current exhibits include 30 Years of the Miss Plymouth Pageant titled “From Gowns to Crowns”, The Bob Price Collection of Burger Chef memorabilia and his vintage milk bottle collection, the Polk Township 4-H Drill Team and Color Guard from 1970 to 78, a display of Morgan Uceny’s life in Marshall County titled “Olympic Champion and Hometown Hero” and Barb Roach’s collection of retro Barbie Dolls titled “Barb’s Barbies.” 

Visit the tastefully renovated second floor authentic period rooms and exhibits that expand over 3 store-fronts in Downtown Plymouth!   Encounter museum displays that transport you back to an era.  From vintage clothing, furniture and historic artifacts to modern graphics depicting history with a contemporary edge at the Marshall County Museum the “old becomes new!”   The exhibits evoke emotion and a thirst for knowledge that leave you with an appreciation for what makes Marshall County, Indiana unique, and why we call it home!  The museum offers a state of the arts *Genealogy Research Library with experienced research specialists that offer one-on-one assistance.  Browse family history files, vital records and newspapers to uncover interesting tidbits about your ancestors.
