03/29/13 On Thursday, March 28th at approximately 7:57 A.M. officers with the Plymouth Police Department responded to a vehicle that struck two pedestrians at the corner of Jefferson and Center Street.

Officer John Weir arrived on the scene and was advised that 42 year old, Timothy J. Patterson of Plymouth was on Center Street stopped at the light at Jefferson and Center Street. Patterson was in the turn lane to go eastbound and as he proceeded left onto Jefferson Street he was immediately blinded by the sunrise in the east sky.

Patterson accidently struck the two female pedestrians who work in the County Building with his truck.

The female pedestrians were identified as Catherine A. Hamman of Plymouth who was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth with head pain along with Angela L. Wilson of Plymouth who was taken to the hospital with minor facial abrasions.

Hamman told officers that she and Wilson were talking as they crossed the street with the light at Jefferson Street and they didn’t see Mr. Patterson’s truck when they started crossing.   As they proceeded to cross the truck struck them.  Further updates confirmed that Cathy  Hamman was treated for a concussion and released and Angela Wilson was treated for facial abrasions and received facial stitches in the ER.
