03/22/13 Although many students in Plymouth High School are thinking of Spring Break or even headed that way, the Speech Team is thinking of the State Competition that takes place this Saturday at Fishers High School.

The Plymouth Police Department lead a caravan of Speech students and their parents out of town Thursday evening as they headed to the state competition.

The PHS Speech Team continued dominating with a win at the sectional a few weeks ago.  PHS Speech Team members doubled the total of 2nd place Concord to bring home another victory.  Plymouth finished Sectionals with 237 points to out-distance second place Concord’s total of 113.

The victory marked Plymouth’s 32nd consecutive Sectional Championship.    Plymouth became one of only two teams in the state to advance 39 entries to the State Finals on Saturday. Those 39 entries will attempt to continue another streak. The team has never finished outside the top ten, including that first team in 1981.
