03/22/13Residents and staff at Plymouth Miller’s Senior Living Community celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in grand style.  The award winning dietary department prepared a delicious corned beef and cabbage meal for the lunch meal.  Also on the menu was Irish soda bread and green jello cake dessert.  The dining room was turned into an Irish pub atmosphere when musicians Mark & Liza Woolever arrived in their period Irish costumes.  The husband and wife musical team performed traditional Irish music on a variety of folk instruments as residents and guests enjoyed their meal.  The Woolever’s sang such favorites as “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling”, “Sweet Rosie O’Grady”, “Oh Danny Boy”, and many more.  The residents and their guests were encouraged to sing along and also joined in the music with rhythm instruments provided by the musical duo.  Activity Director Cindy Flagg served green beer to top off the meal while PCA Tammy Raderstorf handed out St. Patrick’s Day necklaces.  Staff added to the fun by wearing their favorite St. Patrick’s Day green attire.
