11/29/12  The calendar may say November but Miller’s Senior Living Community is looking ahead to December already.  Marketing Director Anna Corbett approached the residents and explained that on the first of December Miller’s Senior Living is in charge of decorating the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce display window in downtown Plymouth.  Corbett would like to go with a Christmas theme, of course. She enlisted the help of the residents by asking them to make Christmas ornaments for the tree.

Corbett’s request coincided beautifully with the monthly Mud Hut ceramic painting activity.  Karen Hart of Mud Hut Ceramics provided several different ornaments for the residents to choose from.  Class instructor Dee Clinger led the residents in choosing their colors and adding detail to the ornaments.  Several residents made more than one ornament so there would be enough for the display.

At the end of the class there were plenty of ornaments for the tree that Corbett and her co-workers will decorate.  Those shopping in downtown Plymouth after December 1st are invited to take time to stroll past the Chamber window and view the original works of art.
