11/19/12 Congresswoman-Elect Jackie Walorski (IN-02) Saturday returned home to the Second District after completing her first week of New Member Orientation in the nation’s capital.

“I’ve enjoyed meeting my colleagues in the 113th Congress, particularly the new members of the freshman class,” said Walorski.  “It is clear many of us share the same concerns over the nation’s mounting debt and weak economy.  I am confident that we are ready to roll up our sleeves and work together to produce real solutions for the American people.”

Lawmakers spent the week in organizational meetings, legislative briefings, and learning Congressional procedure to prepare for their upcoming term in office.  Walorski will return for a second week of orientation after Thanksgiving, and will learn more specifics about her committee assignments and office location.  The 113th Congress will be sworn in on January 3rd in Washington DC, including over 80 new members.
